Accruals: Minimum Accruals Tab
Enforce Minimum Accrued Time - This option allows the benefit time accrual to apply a set number of hours based on the number of hours worked by the employee. For example: Use this setting for the California law that an employee must earn at least 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked.
- Do Not Require Minimum - Choose this option to disable the setting.
- Require Minimum Accrued Time - Choose this option to activate this setting.
- Worked Hours Start From - Select a calendar date to determine from which point forward Each Total Hours Worked is calculated. For example: If the value entered her is 7/1/2015, it would calculate the Total Hours Worked from July 1st forward.
- Minimum Hours to Accrue - Set the least amount of time that will be accrued. For example: The value entered for the California rule would be 1:00.
- For Each Total Hours Worked - Set the amount of work time that must be accumulated before the minimum will be applied. For example: The value entered for the California rule would be 30:00.
- Enforce Minimum Accrued Time Cap - Select whether to limit the amount of minimum time an employee can accrue and at what amount to stop accruing.
- Do Not Require Minimum Cap - Chose this option to disable this setting.
- Require Minimum Accrued Time Cap - Select this option to activate this setting.
- Set the top amount of time that will be accrued. For example: If the value entered here is 30, once an employee has thirty hours they will not accrue any more time regardless of the amount of hours that they work.
- Please Note: Typically, if you are using the Minimum Accruals setting then you shouldn't change the hours setting from the 0 on the Accrual Levels tab. If the hours setting on the Accrual Levels tab is greater than 0:00, the Maximum to Accrue settings on the Accrual Levels tab will be used to enforce how much time can be accrued and the Minimum Hours to Accrue may be exceeded.
